Meet the team: Celine

We would like to introduce you to Celine Bonner, who recently joined us as our Strategic Partnerships Lead.
Celine brings over 15 years of experience in the Creative, Property, and Built Environment sectors, specifically within Interior Design and Architecture. In her role at spacelab_, she will focus on driving collaborations within the property and built environment. Her core responsibility will be to facilitate mutual growth opportunities and leverage combined industry goals to create compatible alliances and achieve shared success.
We asked Celine a few questions to help you all get to know her a bit better.
Tell us a little bit about you, your background and your role at spacelab_?
Born and raised in London, I started my professional journey in Performing Arts and Media Studies before transitioning into Brand Design, which eventually led me to Experiential Design and Architectural Interior Design. My career has been consistently focused on exploring the dynamic relationship between people, behaviours and spaces within Architectural Interiors.
Over the last decade, I have specialised in the strategy side of Architecture and Interior Design. In this role, I merge my passion for people and projects, supporting the full project lifecycle and recognising the value of the entire project team, which I firmly believe is essential for success.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, interior design, cooking, anything leopard print, adventure and music festivals. I also love listening to podcasts on ancient civilisations and philosophy, as well as jazz and soul music. I’m passionate about connecting with people and chilling with my beloved Cherry Blossom, the Bassett Hound.
What inspires you?
I am very lucky to be surrounded by people who consistently motivate and inspire me to grow both personally and professionally. Everyone in my life has influenced me to a certain degree.
As I always say, "Your vibe is your tribe!"
What do you like the most about your work?
I am fortunate to collaborate with diverse disciplines throughout the project process. This exposure allows me to broaden my understanding by listening to different perspectives and effectively collaborating to explore best practices toward achieving our common goals.
What would your ideal project be?
Whether large or small, I believe that the best projects are successfully delivered as a result of effective teamwork across every stage of the process.
My focus is to help facilitate a collaborative environment, ensuring that we build the right teams to make every project an ideal and positive experience for all involved.
What made you want to join the spacelab_?
I have always admired spacelab_ from afar. I appreciate how the team consistently gets under the skin of the brands and clients they work with to create spaces with true purpose. It is clear that this is achieved by developing the brief collaboratively with clients from the very start and completing an extensive engagement period with clients —an approach I strongly believe is the best way to execute any project.
I was then introduced to the team by a good industry friend (Thanks Colin), and I found the entire team to be highly inspirational and a total joy on both a personal and professional level, which led to this exciting opportunity.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I believe that fostering a culture where everyone is treated equally and kindly would be highly beneficial for us all.
